Las Hermanitas

The Las Hermanitas (Little Sisters) club comes together two times a month to celebrate Latino heritage. The focus of the group is to become educated about the role of Latina women in today`s society with conversations about family issues, immigration, and cultural heritage through history and the arts. The group`s discussions are based on the Catholic Bishops` Perspective on the Multicultural Nature of the Catholic Church in the Modern World.

Activities include but are not limited to presentations on special holidays, guest speakers, field trips to cultural events and political action. 

Last year`s team of students (06-07) presented Sister Patricia with a $500 check from money they raised through the year. The donation is for scholarship for an incoming freshman of Latino heritage. The club is not limited to Latinas; all students of all backgrounds are welcome to be part of Las Hermanitas.
